According to Tweeters, Paula Abdul posted several tweets on her twitter stating that she will be leaving the very popular american talent show, American Idol. Since the show began back in 2002 it has been transformed into one of the most popular TV shows on american television.

Since the show debuted in June 2002 she has spent 7 years on the show as one of three judges. Other judges included international celebrity brit, Simon Cowell aswell as Randy Jackson.

Fox Network, hosts of American Idol, released a statement saying "Paula Abdul has been an important part of the 'American Idol' family over the last eight seasons and we are saddened that she has decided not to return to the show. While Paula will not be continuing with us, she's a tremendous talent and we wish her the best."
